About the role

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a leading client in Glasgow on a six‑month contract. The role combines three days per week on‑site collaboration with remote work, delivering modern web applications in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop and enhance Java‑based backend services and applications.
Build and maintain front‑end components using React and JSF.
Create and expose REST APIs and micro‑services.
Collaborate closely with product, testing and delivery teams.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

Strong experience with Java 8+ and Spring Boot/Spring MVC.
Proficiency in front‑end technologies such as React, JSF, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and SCSS.
Hands‑on knowledge of RESTful services, micro‑services architecture, and Agile/Scrum practices.
Technical leadership abilities and experience interacting with clients.
