Senior Java Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team in Cardiff. The position offers flexible hybrid working, with office attendance required no more than one day per week.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain high‑quality Java applications, RESTful APIs and micro‑services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, providing third‑line support.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience building enterprise applications with Java 17+/21.
• Proven expertise in Spring Boot and developing RESTful APIs within a micro‑services architecture.
• Experience with cloud‑native development on AWS and containerisation using Docker.
