Senior Jersey Designer – Leicester

About the role

Vogue Sourcing is seeking a Senior Jersey Designer to join its fast‑paced fashion team in Leicester. You will lead the creation of original jersey collections, working closely with design, production and buying teams to deliver seasonal themes on time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop original design concepts, embroidery, fabrications and seasonal themes for jersey ranges.
• Source and select fabrics that meet design specifications.
• Create detailed spec sheets, tech packs and trend/colour inspiration packs.
• Manage and mentor junior designers, providing guidance and support.
• Collaborate with the Design Manager, Account Manager, factories and overseas offices.
• Present range reviews to Directors and maintain strong relationships with buyers.
• Ensure projects meet departmental deadlines and critical paths.
• Control expenses, handle returns and organise inspiration trips, including overseas travel.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in fashion design, preferably jersey or sportswear.
• Strong eye for colour, fabric and trend‑driven creativity.
• Ability to travel to Manchester and occasional overseas locations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team‑player who can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
