Senior Landscape Architect

About the role

An award-winning design studio with a long-standing reputation in landscape architecture is looking for a Senior Landscape Architect. This is a leadership role guiding teams, shaping project delivery and representing the studio externally. You will lead medium to large-scale projects, oversee teams of 3-4, mentor junior designers and ensure high design and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept to completion, define scopes of work and delegate effectively
• Maintain project budgets, QA standards and client satisfaction; oversee drawings, contracts and specifications
• Attend design team meetings and client presentations; monitor WIP, invoicing and forecasts
• Conduct site audits and give technical guidance
• Manage and develop junior team members, set performance expectations and help with recruitment and studio development
• Sign off technical outputs, coordinate consultants and guide detailing across soft and hard landscaping
• Maintain CDM and Building Regs compliance and provide accurate time and cost estimates
• Prepare fee proposals, support bid writing and build relationships with clients and contractors

Required profile

• Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI or equivalent)
• Master's in Landscape Architecture
• 5-10 years' experience, ideally in both private and public sector work
• Experience managing projects, teams and client relationships
• Strong grasp of planning policy, construction detailing and technical standards
• Excellent communication and visual presentation skills
• Full right to work in the UK

• InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office
• Bonus: Revit experience
