Senior Legal Cashier – Thame, Oxfordshire

About the role

We are a well‑established law firm seeking an experienced Senior Legal Cashier to join our busy Finance team in Thame, Oxfordshire. You will work closely with the Head Cashier and Finance Team Manager to keep the accounts department running smoothly and fully compliant with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head Cashier and Finance Team Manager in daily finance operations.
• Process client and office account payments and receipts.
• Complete daily bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Reconcile control accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Provide guidance to junior finance team members and resolve complex queries.
• Ensure all files, ledgers and processes comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules.
• Assist with continuous improvements to finance systems and processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in legal finance or as a Legal Cashier.
• Strong knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise a varied workload in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and organisational skills.
