Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Clinigen is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its global Legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, you will support the EU, US & Rest‑of‑World Business Unit, providing commercially focused legal advice that drives growth and ensures compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiations on global distribution, commercialization and strategic commercial agreements.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts with customers, suppliers and partners worldwide.
• Partner with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to support key business initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry best practices across the EU, US and other regions.
• Manage legal projects from inception to successful completion while maintaining a best‑in‑class service approach.

Required profile

• Law degree and qualification in England & Wales or another common‑law jurisdiction.
• Minimum 6 years post‑qualification experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
• Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and business opportunity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
• Proactive, pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach with strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
