Senior Machine Learning Engineer: ML Recall

About the role

As a member of the ML Recall team at Constructor, you will enhance the e‑commerce search experience for millions of shoppers worldwide. You will build and own the retrieval layer of a high‑performance, multilingual search engine that returns relevant products within milliseconds.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a modern retrieval stack that combines dense and sparse models with advanced query understanding.
• Design and implement visual and multimodal search solutions such as image search, “shop the look”, and visual recommendations.
• Own a platform of deep‑learning models that other teams consume, ensuring scalability across 40+ languages and 20+ domains.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience shipping production‑grade machine‑learning systems.
• Hands‑on experience with search, information retrieval, or recommendation systems.
• Proven ability to train, fine‑tune, and evaluate transformer models.
• Strong Python and PyTorch expertise.
• Fluency with data‑orchestration tools such as Spark and Airflow.
• Experience owning a model end‑to‑end, from problem framing to rollout.
• Ability to design and run A/B tests that demonstrate model impact.
• Excellent English communication skills.
