Senior Maintenance Engineer (continental shifts - days only)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FMCG manufacturing site in North Lanarkshire. The role operates on a continental day‑shift pattern and offers the chance to develop leadership skills while working on high‑impact projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of engineering technicians.
• Plan, initiate and manage maintenance activities to ensure reliable machinery operation.
• Promote a safety‑first culture and enforce health & safety regulations.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimise equipment performance.
• Document maintenance activities and monitor equipment performance for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an engineering leadership role, preferably within manufacturing or food production.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in a production environment.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work a 4‑on/4‑off shift pattern (06:30‑19:00).
