Senior Maintenance Engineer - Day shift

About the role

Lotus UK Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Maintenance Engineer to join the Facilities team at its Norwich plant. The role is day‑shift focused and involves ensuring that production equipment and plant services run reliably to support the manufacture of high‑performance sports cars.

Key responsibilities

• Inform production managers of maintenance activities and progress.
• Check, calibrate and certify key production and metrology equipment for internal and external audits.
• Carry out minor electrical and compressed‑air installations and building maintenance tasks.
• Perform routine servicing, repairs and investigations on production machinery.
• Plan and organise larger maintenance jobs, preparing method statements and risk assessments.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and participate in on‑call rota.
• Maintain asset registers, repair records and spare‑part inventories in the maintenance management system.
• Support and monitor external contractors, reviewing permits, method statements and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in maths, science, English and design/technology.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
• Practical hands‑on experience in plant maintenance within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Awareness of health and safety legislation.
