Senior Management Accountant

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing international media business based in High Wycombe. The Senior Management Accountant will own the month‑end management accounting for the US entity, support budgeting, forecasting and provide commercial insight across multiple international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end management accounting for the US entity, including journals, accruals, pre‑payments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate management accounts, variance analysis and detailed commentary.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Produce group reporting, budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Analyse revenue, margins and contract profitability.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams across the international business on pricing, bids and commercial projects.
• Ensure accurate inter‑company accounting across multiple entities.
• Support finance transformation, process improvements and system enhancements.
• Assist with audit and statutory reporting.
• Supervise one direct report within the international finance team.

Required profile

• Proven experience preparing management accounts for a US entity.
• Strong understanding of US financial reporting within a UK‑based multinational business.
• Experience in a multi‑currency, multinational environment.
• Advanced management accounting expertise (journals, accruals, pre‑payments, balance‑sheet reconciliations).
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or finalist.
