Senior Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Senior Management Accountant to join a fast‑growing international services business. The role is primarily focused on month‑end management accounting while also supporting process improvement and automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Prepare and maintain monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
• Analyse and verify gross margin and commission reports.
• Prepare VAT returns and other statutory reports in line with regulatory requirements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual spreadsheet reliance.
• Improve data flows between finance systems and enhance reporting transparency using PowerBI and AI.
• Deliver monthly financial reports to the leadership team and business units.
• Provide financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
• Assist non‑financial managers in understanding cost drivers and financial impacts.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to explain performance and support decisions.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) with 2‑3+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight month‑end deadlines.
• Strong month‑end management accounting and process‑improvement skills.
