Senior Management Accountant

About the role

Agincare is seeking a fully qualified Senior Management Accountant to join its finance team in Poole. You will provide high‑quality financial analysis, support strategic decision‑making and oversee the delivery of management accounting activities across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month‑end process, including journals, accruals, pre‑payments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Produce detailed variance analysis and clear explanations for performance movements.
• Prepare monthly financial performance reports, KPIs and ad‑hoc analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Support and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering capability and best practice.
• Collaborate with department heads on budgeting and forecasting aligned to strategic goals.
• Monitor business costs and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal processes.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
• 2–3 years’ experience in management accounting, including senior or supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Confident communicator able to present financial information to non‑financial colleagues.
• Highly organised, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Collaborative, professional approach with a commitment to high standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with financial systems such as NetSuite, SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel skills.
