Senior Management Accountant

About the role

Agincare Group is seeking a fully qualified Senior Management Accountant to join its finance team across the Poole and Portland sites. You will provide high‑quality financial analysis, support strategic decision‑making and lead the delivery of management accounting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end processes, including journals, accruals, pre‑payments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Produce detailed variance analysis and clear explanations of performance movements.
• Prepare monthly financial performance reports, KPIs and ad‑hoc analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Support and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering best practice.
• Collaborate with department heads on budgeting and forecasting aligned to strategic goals.
• Monitor business costs and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal processes.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
• 2–3 years of experience in management accounting, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong analytical ability with exceptional attention to detail.
• Highly organised, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting financial information to non‑financial colleagues.
