Senior Manager – Accountancy Practice

About the role

TPF Recruitment is partnering with a well‑established independent accountancy practice in Maidstone to recruit a Senior Manager. The successful candidate will join a forward‑thinking firm with a strong client base and will work closely with partners to drive growth and maintain high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, limited companies, partnerships and high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Review statutory accounts, management accounts and tax returns, providing commercial advice.
• Mentor and lead a team of accountants and managers, fostering professional development.
• Identify and support business‑development opportunities within the existing client base.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to strategic planning.
• Assist partners with practice management and operational matters.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification.
• Significant experience at Manager or Senior Manager level within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts and taxation.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Commercially minded with a genuine interest in client success.
• Experience in managing and developing teams.
