Senior Manager: Data, AI & Performance Analytics

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead Data, AI and Performance Analytics for the Cotswold Outdoor Group. Based in our new sustainable Swindon office, you will shape how we inspire customers, support stores and grow our community of adventurers through data‑driven insight.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver the Customer & Digital Data, AI and Analytics strategy to drive eCommerce growth and commercial performance.
• Act as a senior leader across Data, Insight, AI and Automation, raising organisational maturity and fostering innovation.
• Lead, develop and inspire a high‑performing analytics and data‑science team, promoting a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
• Drive data literacy across the business, enabling better decision‑making through insight, experimentation and AI tools.
• Own digital measurement frameworks, forecasting, attribution and performance modelling to link investment with revenue and ROI.
• Enable conversion rate optimisation and site optimisation by providing robust data foundations.

Required profile

• Significant senior‑level experience leading data, insight, AI or analytics functions in a commercial environment.
• Proven ability to build and scale high‑performing analytics or data‑science teams.
• Strong track record of translating data strategy into measurable business outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
