About the role

The Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales (ICAEW) is seeking a Senior Manager to lead technology governance, change management and communications. This permanent role, based in Milton Keynes, offers a hybrid working pattern and a salary of £70,000‑£85,000. You will ensure the technology portfolio aligns with strategic goals, is transparently prioritised, well‑governed and adopted across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for technology governance and change functions.
• Manage, mentor and align the work of the Tech Change Manager to support portfolio delivery and adoption.
• Oversee the Portfolio Steering Group, ensuring fair, transparent prioritisation aligned to organisational strategy.
• Champion consistent use of technology delivery frameworks, including business case development, benefit tracking and agile practices.
• Monitor and report on benefit realisation, supporting escalations where outcomes are at risk.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technology leadership roles covering governance, PMO or business change.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and large‑scale digital portfolios or transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking capabilities.
