Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Gold Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead electrical and cabling system projects from design through to production on its Bedfordshire site. You will drive new product introductions, optimise existing processes and ensure strict quality compliance in a fast‑paced, low‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical harness design and transfer to the factory floor.
• Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) from prototype to full production release.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, process controls and production plans.
• Implement continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and production teams to resolve technical issues.
• Utilise CAD, ERP and MRP systems to support manufacturing operations.

Required profile

• Degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace or related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering within aerospace, defence, automotive or other highly regulated sectors.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100, IPC/WHMA‑A‑620) and configuration control.
• Experience leading NPI activities and delivering continuous‑improvement projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
