About the role

The Senior Market Specialist – European Polyolefins will lead ICIS’s market intelligence and pricing strategy for Europe’s polyethylene and polypropylene markets. The role shapes decision‑making across the petrochemical sector by delivering trusted insight, maintaining pricing benchmarks and building senior industry relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead ICIS’s European polyolefins coverage, ensuring high‑quality market intelligence and pricing for polyethylene and polypropylene.
• Act as the market authority, monitoring supply, demand, trade flows, pricing dynamics and emerging trends.
• Own and maintain industry‑leading price benchmarks with independent judgement.
• Produce high‑impact analysis that helps customers manage risk and make commercial decisions.
• Develop and nurture senior relationships with producers, traders, distributors, converters and brand owners.
• Drive thought‑leadership by identifying key themes, risks and opportunities for customers.
• Represent ICIS at conferences, webinars, customer meetings and industry events.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in petrochemical market analysis, preferably polyolefins.
• Strong understanding of European polyethylene and polypropylene markets.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain senior industry relationships.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to deliver clear market insight.
