Senior Mechanical Site Manager – School Project (New Build & Refurb)

About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Site Manager to lead the mechanical works for a significant educational project in Billingham. This role involves overseeing a comprehensive scope of work, ranging from a brand-new school construction to strategic light refurbishment works.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide daily onsite management and supervision of all mechanical installation works.
• Coordinate subcontractors and onsite labor to ensure seamless operational flow.
• Ensure strict adherence to project schedules, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Manage Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to maintain a safe working environment.
• Act as a key point of contact in site meetings and maintain close liaison with the Main Contractor.
• Conduct rigorous quality control inspections and manage the final handover requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record in Mechanical Building Services management.
• Previous experience working on educational or school-based projects is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and subcontractors.
• Available to commence work from mid-May.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Valid SMSTS or SSSTS certification (SMSTS strongly preferred).
• Valid CSCS card.
• First Aid at Work certification.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and building regulations.
• Excellent communication and project coordination abilities.
