Senior Mental Health Support Worker – Wallingford

About the role
Response is seeking an enthusiastic and caring Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join the team at Papist Way, Wallingford. You will lead shifts, manage medication, and provide person‑centred support to residents with serious mental illness.
Key responsibilities
- Lead daily shifts and delegate tasks to support workers.
- Manage medication administration and maintain accurate records.
- Take charge during incidents, safeguarding concerns, and complaints in the manager’s absence.
- Monitor health and safety standards for the service and residents.
- Mentor new staff, deliver Care Certificate and medication training.
- Maintain a personal caseload and provide emotional and practical assistance with daily living activities.
- Respond to service phone queries and coordinate referrals and risk assessments.
Required profile
- Passionate about mental health and supporting independence.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience working with adults who have psychotic illnesses and co‑existing conditions.
- Ability to handle safeguarding, incident management and health‑and‑safety duties.
- Commitment to a collaborative, One‑Team approach.
