Senior Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the role

This senior position is based at a highly automated manufacturing site in Wiltshire. You will be responsible for keeping a complex network of high‑speed machinery, robotics, vision systems and material‑handling equipment running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical and mechanical fault‑finding during breakdowns across PLC‑controlled lines, robotics and process‑control equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in conveyors, motors, pumps, drives, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Investigate recurring issues using root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support equipment modifications, installations and improvement projects.
• Use the site CMMS to manage work orders, maintenance schedules and asset history.
• Collaborate closely with Production to maintain safety and efficiency.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in industrial maintenance within a highly automated environment.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and confidence to make technical decisions on shift.
• Ability to work on a 4‑on/4‑off rotating shift pattern, covering days and nights.
• Commitment to high engineering standards and continuous improvement.
