Senior Murex MxML Engineer

About the role

DXC Luxoft is looking for an experienced Murex MxML developer to work across its client base. Murex is a leading application in global trading, risk management and trade processing, used across asset classes and front-to-risk-to-back, with multiple production environments, grids and connections to many upstream and downstream systems. The position is based in London and relocation-friendly.

Key responsibilities

• Review all active MT templates and suggest consolidating MT messages into MX format for all products and entities
• Perform a gap analysis of current MT mappings and adapt them to MX format
• Enhance the underlying Murex MX package with specific requirements or mappings per template
• Develop new MX templates for message types not covered by the Murex MX package
• Develop new ACK/NACK mappings to change payment flow statuses
• Build new MxML or Unix shell scripts for real-time interfaces and simplify the workflow for generating MX messages and ACK/NACK
• Clean up redundant workflows not used by the system
• Transfer knowledge to existing EAD developers and train the support team on common issues with new MX messages
• Provide post-live support and enhancements requested by users

Required profile

• 6+ years of application development experience, preferably in banking or treasury
• Experience with MX2.11 and MX3.1
• Knowledge of Treasury products
• English at C2 level
