Senior National Account Manager – FMCG

About the role

The Senior National Account Manager will drive growth of our FMCG portfolio across the UK’s leading retailers, discounters and distributors. Reporting to the Sales & Business Development Director, you will act as the primary client‑facing representative and help shape the national strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a £10 million portfolio of national accounts across retail, grocery, wholesale and distribution channels.
• Identify and secure opportunities to add new SKUs or private‑label lines.
• Lead commercial negotiations, category reviews and joint business plans with key customers.
• Provide market intelligence and insights that inform the UK growth strategy.
• Collaborate with internal teams – sales processing, demand planning and merchandising – to ensure seamless execution.
• Travel throughout the UK and attend regular meetings at the North‑West head office.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing national accounts in the FMCG sector, preferably at a senior or key‑account level.
• Demonstrated ability to grow revenue and increase product range within large retail groups.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and work in a hybrid environment.

• Competitive salary £50,000‑£60,000 per year.
• EOT bonus paid annually (December/January).
