Senior .NET Developer – Public Sector Platform

About the role

Senior .NET Developer needed to lead design and delivery of complex features for a critical investment programme platform within the public sector. The role is initially a 6‑month contract with strong prospects to extend and can be based hybrid in London or other major UK cities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, development and delivery of complex software solutions across web applications, domain services and CRM integrations.
• Develop and maintain applications using C#.NET 8, ASP.NET Core MVC, CQRS and Domain‑Driven Design.
• Oversee Dynamics 365 integrations, workflow services, plugins and supporting business applications.
• Drive engineering best practices through code reviews, testing strategies, observability improvements and architectural governance.
• Mentor developers, support technical investigations and collaborate with architects, product owners and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive commercial experience developing enterprise applications with C#.NET and ASP.NET Core MVC.
• Strong expertise in CQRS, Domain‑Driven Design, SOLID principles and scalable solution architecture.
• Proven experience leading technical delivery of complex projects and mentoring development teams.
• Deep understanding of authentication, authorisation, application security, data protection, caching, concurrency and system resilience.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and production support.
