Senior Network Engineer – Financial Services Project

About the role
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a global financial services organisation on a high‑profile project. The role is based in London with a hybrid working model (three days in the office) and an initial six‑month contract.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver network solutions for a high‑profile financial services project.
- Design, implement and support Kubernetes/OpenShift networking, including CNI plugins, eBPF, service mesh, ingress/egress controllers and network policies.
- Configure and maintain routing, switching, firewalling and load‑balancing across Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet and A10/F5 platforms.
- Integrate and support cloud‑native networking on AWS, Azure and GCP.
- Provide expertise on core networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VRF, VLANs, VXLAN, VPN, NAT, DNS, DHCP and Multicast.
Required profile
- 7‑10 years of enterprise network engineering experience in financial services or other highly regulated, mission‑critical environments.
- Strong background with Cisco technologies and certifications (CCNP or CCIE).
- Proven experience delivering solutions in cloud‑native environments.

What we offer
- Competitive daily rate of £800‑£900.
- Hybrid working (3 days on‑site).
- Six‑month contract, inside IR35 via Umbrella.
