Senior Nuke Compositor

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Nuke Compositor to help build and lead an elite in‑house compositing team within Sky Creative’s NxGen studio. This senior creative and technical position blends high‑end VFX compositing with AI‑assisted hybrid workflows, delivering cinematic quality across a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of high‑end compositing work on individual shots and full sequences, ensuring visual quality and consistency.
• Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Design Director and Production teams to realise the creative vision.
• Define and maintain best practices for integrating AI‑generated elements into compositing pipelines while preserving realism.
• Lead the refinement and elevation of fully AI‑generated shots where appropriate.
• Work with AI Hybrid Artists, Creative Technologists and CG teams to create scalable, controllable, artist‑friendly workflows.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and advise on their practical application in production.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a compositor using Nuke, with a strong portfolio of high‑end VFX work.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a forward‑thinking approach to modern VFX pipelines.
• Proven experience with AI‑assisted or hybrid compositing workflows.
