Senior Nursery Deputy Manager

About the role
Join a leading early years provider as a Senior Nursery Deputy Manager. You will work in a warm, positive environment where your passion for childcare and education is celebrated, supporting the delivery of high‑quality care and learning for young children.
Key responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework across the nursery.
- Oversee daily planning, record‑keeping and quality monitoring for your team.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and local authorities.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of childcare policies, safeguarding procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with nursery accounts, budgeting and preparation for staff and parent meetings.
Required profile
- Childcare or education qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3.
- Proven experience managing a room or team within a nursery setting.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Solid understanding of EYFS and safeguarding best practices.
- Management qualification is desirable but not essential.
Required skills
- First Aid competence.
- Knowledge of EYFS standards.
- Safeguarding procedures expertise.
- Effective record‑keeping and reporting.
- Ability to develop professional relationships with regulatory bodies.
