Senior Operations Lead – Site Operations

About the role

An exciting high‑growth healthcare and technology business is seeking a Senior Operations Lead to own performance, culture and growth of its Blackburn site. This role goes beyond a traditional Operations Manager, requiring full ownership of site performance, leadership from the front and a culture of high standards, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop operational leaders and frontline teams within a warehouse and distribution environment.
• Take full accountability for daily performance and output of the site.
• Set clear objectives, performance expectations and ownership across all operational functions.
• Drive operational KPIs and continuously improve performance standards.
• Foster a culture built on accountability, urgency, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Coach and develop managers and team leaders to maximise individual and team performance.
• Identify and retain high‑performing employees while addressing performance concerns fairly.
• Manage forecasting, labour planning and resource allocation to meet customer demand.
• Support implementation of new systems, technology and automation projects.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience leading operational teams in a warehouse, distribution, logistics or fulfilment environment.
• Proven success in developing teams and leading through change.
• Strong ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
