Senior Operations Manager – Aggregates & Asphalt

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead our Aggregates & Asphalt business in Radlett. You will be responsible for driving performance, safety and operational excellence across a portfolio of assets while shaping the long‑term strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Operations Managers, fostering talent and succession planning.
• Deliver performance targets for safety, production, quality and cost, and improve OEE/OOE metrics.
• Manage customer complaints, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and execute annual operational strategies, asset planning and capital investment programmes.
• Oversee budgets, financial performance and procurement activities.
• Champion a zero‑harm culture, ensure compliance with statutory, environmental and operational standards, and drive sustainability objectives.

Required profile

• Proven senior leader with experience in large‑scale industrial, manufacturing, quarrying, asphalt or construction‑materials operations.
• Strong track record of people development, strategic planning and financial management.
• Demonstrated ability to embed continuous improvement and innovation.
