Senior Operations Officer

About the role

The Senior Operations Officer will support daily operational activity for an international banking institution in the City of London. The role ensures accurate processing of FX, money‑market and securities transactions, timely settlements and effective support for front‑office teams.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify FX, money‑market and securities trades.
• Prepare trade confirmations and assist with settlement activities.
• Maintain transaction records and operational documentation.
• Process invoices and support cash‑management functions.
• Monitor securities settlements and corporate actions.
• Liaise with traders, clients and counterparties to resolve queries.
• Provide broader operational support and cover for the team as needed.

Required profile

• Previous operations experience in a banking, treasury or financial‑markets environment.
• Good understanding of FX, money‑market, securities and cash‑management products.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Experience with settlement platforms such as Euroclear.
• Familiarity with Murex or similar treasury systems.
