Senior Oracle Apps DBA Consultant

About the role

Version 1 Solutions Limited is seeking a Senior Oracle Applications DBA Consultant to join its Enterprise Applications Managed Services team. The role is remote‑friendly and supports multiple Oracle E‑Business Suite environments for leading organisations in the UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day Oracle Applications DBA support for Oracle EBS 12.1.3 and 12.2.x.
• Perform Oracle EBS cloning, patching, maintenance and related support activities.
• Manage RMAN backups, recovery processes and maintain Disaster Recovery environments.
• Conduct database performance analysis, tuning and troubleshooting.
• Create, manage and resolve Oracle Service Requests (SRs).
• Collaborate with technical and functional consultants to deliver customer requirements.
• Liaise directly with customers throughout design, implementation and post‑go‑live phases.
• Maintain and regularly test Disaster Recovery setups and perform health checks on applications and operating systems.
• Support customer transitions into managed services after project delivery.
• Participate in Oracle upgrades, migrations and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Take part in an out‑of‑hours support rota, including occasional night‑shift coverage.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior Oracle Applications DBA, preferably within a managed‑services environment.
• Strong background supporting Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) versions 12.1.3 and 12.2.x.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver high‑quality customer service.
• Willingness to work occasional night‑shift rotations as part of the support rota.
