Senior Paraplanner

About the role

The Senior Paraplanner will join a market‑leading protection advice team in London, providing high‑quality technical and administrative support to advisers. Working behind the scenes, you will prepare quotes, suitability reports and client communications, enabling advisers to focus on relationship building and strategic planning.

Key responsibilities

• Draft tailored suitability reports for protection advice, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Review client fact‑find documents and meeting notes to inform advice documentation.
• Conduct product and provider research, comparing costs, features and performance.
• Liaise with advisers to prioritise tasks and manage timely delivery of advice documents.
• Collaborate with the New Business processing team to track case progress and flag risks.
• Ensure all client files meet internal and FCA documentation standards and address compliance feedback.
• Support internal projects, process improvements and contribute to a positive team culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in paraplanning or similar advisory support within the protection or life insurance sector.
• Strong understanding of insurance products, legislation and FCA compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, research and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with advisers and processing teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of life insurance and protection products.
• Familiarity with FCA regulatory standards.
• Ability to conduct detailed product research and analysis.
