Senior Part‑Time Sales Assistant

About the role

Heron Foods is looking for a Senior Part‑Time Sales Assistant to join its Darlington store. Working 16 hours a week, you will help keep the shop running smoothly while supporting the team and stepping in for management when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Motivate and support the sales team to achieve daily targets.
• Deliver high‑standard customer service and resolve queries.
• Maintain store presentation, ensure shelves are stocked and tidy.
• Assist with stock management, receive deliveries and organise inventory.
• Act as keyholder, opening and closing the store and covering management duties in their absence.

Required profile

• Friendly, approachable and professional attitude.
• Strong work ethic with ability to thrive in a fast‑moving retail environment.
• Previous leadership experience in retail or hospitality, key‑holder experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask and take ownership of supervisory responsibilities.
