Senior Payments Specialist – SME Acquiring

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Payments Specialist to drive our acquiring acquisition ambition across the Yorkshire region. The role focuses on generating new SME business through face-to-face client interactions and contributes to the growth of Barclays’ payments acceptance business.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new SME customers for payment acquiring services.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings and present tailored payment solutions.
• Manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools and meet or exceed volume and value targets.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and key business introducers to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Maintain compliance with risk, control and internal process requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of the SME market and ability to communicate effectively with SME customers.
• Proven track record of exceeding new-business sales targets.
• Experience in self-generating opportunities and working at a fast pace.
• Strong team player who can see the broader business picture.
• Ability to build relationships with customers, introducers and senior internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
