Senior Pensions Analyst – Calculations & Benefits

About the role

We are expanding our Client Onboarding and Change team and need a Senior Pensions Analyst to lead calculations and benefits work across pension administration projects. The role will support implementation, post‑project activities and act as a bridge between business, technical teams and external partners, based in our Reading office with a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and document business processes and create robust calculation pro‑formas.
• Develop test grids, conduct user acceptance testing and investigate calculation discrepancies.
• Communicate design changes to stakeholders, build training materials and act as liaison between users and technical teams.
• Identify improvement opportunities, analyse options and support junior team members.
• Lead pension administration calculation implementations, oversee transformation and solution roll‑outs.
• Provide technical advice, ensure risk management and governance frameworks are applied, and embed processes into BAU.
• Produce and present outcomes to varied stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong Excel skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good understanding of pension scheme rules and calculations.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the business.
• Technical understanding, commercial outlook and entrepreneurial mindset.
