Senior People Partner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced operational HR professional to act as a Senior People Partner, supporting managers across OpenWorks Engineering to deliver practical, people‑centred solutions throughout the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day employee‑relations advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of issues.
• Support the development and implementation of people practices and HR processes.
• Help build high‑performing, capable teams by delivering practical HR interventions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies and the creation of an enabling culture.
• Assist with security vetting and clearance requirements where necessary.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR generalist with a strong focus on employee relations.
• Ability to advise managers confidently on complex ER matters.
• Experience working in a fast‑growing, technically focused environment, preferably within defence or engineering.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

• Knowledge of security vetting processes (beneficial).
