Senior Philanthropy Manager (Major Gifts)

About the role

We are looking for a senior fundraising professional to lead and expand our major gifts programme, building long‑term relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals to secure transformational income for Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of high‑net‑worth donors and achieve significant income targets.
• Secure five‑ and six‑figure gifts through tailored cultivation, proposals and stewardship.
• Develop and implement cultivation and stewardship plans aligned to each supporter’s interests.
• Make complex, high‑value funding asks and grow the Chair’s Circle and Philanthropy Board programmes.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including Trustees and the CEO.
• Contribute to fundraising strategy, pipeline development and identification of new funding opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for both restricted and unrestricted funding.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR and internal policies.
• Act as an ambassador for the organisation and promote best practice in fundraising.

Required profile

• Proven experience in major donor or high‑value fundraising with a track record of securing five‑ and six‑figure gifts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage senior relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset combined with a hands‑on approach to delivering results.
• Excellent communication, influencing and relationship‑building skills.
• Commitment to the mission of a charitable air‑ambulance service.
