Senior Planner – Major Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Planner to join our Bedford to Cambridge team based in St Neots. You will support construction delivery teams and influence the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects, while developing your planning techniques and contributing to local community outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed programmes using Primavera P6, including progress updates and resource management.
• Run planning meetings with delivery teams to capture progress and identify potential delays.
• Create clear reports and visual presentations for senior leadership and clients.
• Support commercial teams with contract management and change implications.
• Establish monitoring techniques to demonstrate team performance through dashboards and trackers.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of civil engineering in roads, structures, and earthworks, with design survey work knowledge desirable.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 for resource management, float path analysis, and S‑curve creation.
• Ability to interpret baseline data and provide actionable insights.
• Relevant CSCS card and working towards or holding a professional qualification.
• Effective communication skills and experience collaborating with diverse teams.
