Senior Practice Accountant – Accounts & Advisory

About the role

This senior practice accountant position sits within a high‑performing team that serves a broad portfolio of SME and group clients in London. You will work in a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment where you are trusted with varied responsibilities, client interaction and exposure to increasingly complex work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies across a diverse client base
• Produce consolidated accounts for small and medium‑sized groups
• Prepare corporation tax returns and support tax compliance work
• Review VAT returns and assist with client queries
• Generate management information to support business decision‑making
• Manage your own workload, deadlines and planning effectively
• Liaise directly with clients and build strong working relationships
• Support junior team members with technical guidance
• Assist with external audit queries and wider project work

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience in practice
• ACA / ACCA qualified or actively working towards qualification
• Strong technical grounding with a proactive approach to development
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high accuracy
• Client‑focused communication skills
