Senior Practice Accountant – Ashford

About the role

TPF Recruitment is seeking a Senior Practice Accountant to join a leading accountancy practice in Ashford. Reporting directly to the partner, you will manage a portfolio of clients and mentor junior staff while delivering high‑quality accounts, tax and VAT services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Oversee bookkeeping and VAT returns prepared by junior team members.
• Maintain regular client interaction and provide strategic business and tax planning advice.
• Collaborate with managers and partners to support firm growth.
• Support and develop junior staff in their daily tasks.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
• Qualified ACCA or ACA, or equivalent experience.
• Experience preparing accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT for a variety of client types.
