About the role
Stantec is seeking experienced Principal and Senior Principal Mechanical Engineers to shape the future of the UK water sector. You will lead technical delivery on complex water infrastructure projects, influence strategy, and build trusted client relationships across a range of locations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery and provide engineering expertise on large‑scale water projects.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, acting as a senior advisor.
- Shape mechanical engineering standards, mentor teams and support business development.
- Provide strategic direction for major programmes within the AMP8 investment programme.
Required profile
- Proven experience in the UK water sector as a Principal or Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to influence project strategy.
- Strong client‑facing skills and experience developing trusted relationships.
- Willingness to work across multiple UK locations including Derby, Birmingham, Manchester, London and others.
