Senior Private Client Solicitor (Partner track)

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is expanding its highly regarded Private Client practice in Chester and is seeking a senior solicitor to lead the team. This position offers a unique opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients while developing managerial experience and a clear path to partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, trusts, tax, estates and powers of attorney.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the private client team and support its strategic development.
• Provide expert advice on matters involving business, agricultural and foreign assets.
• Work autonomously with minimal supervision while collaborating closely with senior colleagues.
• Act as a senior leader within the department, reporting directly to the Head of Department.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Extensive experience handling a wide range of private client matters for high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Strong ambition to develop managerial and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of client relationships.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of wills, probate, trusts, tax and estate planning.
• Experience with powers of attorney and cross‑border asset issues.
• Familiarity with business, agricultural and foreign asset structures.
