Senior Procurement Specialist – Procurement Transformation

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead and accelerate key procurement transformation initiatives for a leading financial services compensation organisation. Working closely with the Procurement Manager, you will reshape the procurement function, drive consistency across the lifecycle and embed a centre‑led Supplier Relationship Management framework. The role is hybrid, based in London, on a six‑month fixed‑term contract with a day rate starting at £600.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of standardised procurement templates, guidance and toolkits covering the full procurement lifecycle.
• Ensure consistency, compliance and high‑quality documentation across all procurement activities.
• Introduce best‑practice approaches to improve efficiency, reduce duplication and strengthen governance.
• Identify and recommend digitalisation opportunities within procurement processes.
• Develop and embed a centre‑led Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework.
• Provide independent leadership and oversight for transformation projects, working with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior procurement or sourcing roles, preferably within transformation or change programmes.
• Strong autonomy and ability to lead initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Excellent understanding of procurement governance, compliance and best‑practice standards.
• Experience working in a regulated financial services environment is a plus.
