Senior Production Manager

About the role

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking two Senior Production Managers to lead day and late shifts at its high‑volume food processing facility in Glasgow. The role involves overseeing the cutting, packing, labeling and dispatch of retail‑ready meat products for major UK supermarkets and foodservice customers.

Key responsibilities

• Set and maintain production standards and expectations across teams.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality regulations.
• Maintain product quality and meet customer specifications.
• Manage process compliance, including hold and non‑conformance avoidance.
• Drive service level performance and customer satisfaction.
• Plan and allocate resources to meet production targets.
• Monitor and control labour costs while promoting accountability.
• Support succession planning, team development and training records.
• Implement team rotation plans to improve flexibility.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Production Manager or Senior Production Manager in food manufacturing, FMCG or high‑volume environments.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and food safety standards.
• Demonstrated ability to improve KPI performance and drive operational excellence.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead structured meetings.
