Senior Production Planner

About the role

The Senior Production Planner will join a global manufacturing organisation that delivers highly engineered products worldwide. Reporting to the manufacturing leadership team, the role focuses on developing and managing short‑term production schedules to meet customer demand, operational priorities and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short‑term manufacturing and production schedules.
• Lead daily production planning meetings and monitor adherence to the plan.
• Identify delivery risks and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and Material Planning to resolve capacity, resource and material constraints.
• Produce performance data, utilisation reports and forecasting information.
• Support on‑time delivery performance and report key metrics to senior leadership.
• Run schedule simulations and scenario planning to improve performance and reduce risk.
• Monitor production resource utilisation and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production planning within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical ability to assess schedules, risks and performance metrics.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills, able to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to lead planning meetings and communicate schedule changes effectively.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
