Senior Project Engineer – Track (Rail Infrastructure)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Track) to join a major rail infrastructure programme delivering capacity improvements, electrification and new routes across the UK. You will work closely with design suppliers, review and assure track designs, and provide technical guidance throughout the early design and development phases.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assure track design packages against project standards.
• Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams and design suppliers.
• Support projects through early design, development and engineering assurance stages.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure clear communication across all parties.
• Contribute to risk identification and mitigation related to track engineering.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer (Track) or similar role.
• Strong background in track design, engineering assurance and project engineering.
• Experience reviewing engineering designs and supporting early project development.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous involvement in major rail infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
