Senior Project Manager – Construction Consultancy

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our international construction consultancy in Southampton. You will own the delivery of complex projects from inception to handover, working with minimal supervision and providing strategic oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple construction projects across education, defence, healthcare and residential sectors.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle – feasibility, planning, execution, and handover.
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact.
• Control project programmes, budgets, risks and reporting.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants and external stakeholders.
• Ensure delivery on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
• Mentor junior team members as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex projects.
• Excellent client‑facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability.
• Professional qualification in construction, project management or a related discipline.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership (RICS, APM, CIOB or similar) is preferred.
