Senior Project Manager – Digital HR SaaS (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a Digital HR SaaS solution for a client in Reading. This 6‑month contract role involves end‑to‑end project ownership, from RFP through to go‑live and transition to business‑as‑usual, and requires a high level of UK security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle, including RFP, supplier selection, implementation, go‑live, hyper‑care and hand‑over to BAU.
• Create and maintain project plans, governance structures, reporting, risk registers and budget controls.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams across HR, Procurement, Finance, Commercial and Technical domains.
• Manage external delivery partners and systems integrators to meet milestones and quality standards.
• Support contract mobilisation and ensure compliance with governance, architecture and security frameworks.
• Drive issue resolution, dependency management and senior‑level stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Solution Architects to align business and technical requirements.
• Lead PI Planning activities and prepare for operational readiness and service transition.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering HR SaaS or digital HR transformation projects from inception to live operation.
• Strong background managing third‑party suppliers and delivery partners in regulated or complex environments.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management and governance expertise.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
