Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of strategic mergers, acquisitions, business integrations and other corporate transactions across Europe. Based in London with a hybrid working model, you will manage the full transaction lifecycle from due diligence to Day‑1 operational readiness, working closely with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage transaction work‑plans from due diligence through to completion and Day‑1 readiness.
• Coordinate activities across Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Risk, Operations and other functions.
• Manage project timelines, dependencies, risks, issues and governance throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Engage external advisors such as legal, financial, tax and consulting partners.
• Ensure all transaction milestones, approvals and completion requirements are achieved.
• Develop Day‑1 readiness plans and support transition into longer‑term integration activities.
• Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Support compliance with regulatory, employment, data‑protection and competition requirements across European jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in M&A, corporate development, management consulting, transformation or programme management.
• Proven track record of managing complex transactions or large‑scale business change initiatives.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness with ability to understand business cases and value creation.
• Experience working across multiple countries and functions within complex organisations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within the legal sector is essential.

Required skills

• Project and programme management methodologies such as Prince2 or PMP.
