Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a high‑performing Change Management function within a mid‑sized financial services firm. You will own end‑to‑end delivery of complex, business‑critical transformation initiatives, primarily in the life insurance business, and work closely with technology stakeholders in modern DevSecOps environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, mobilisation and successful delivery of complex projects.
• Own project governance, including scope, plans, RAID logs, budgets and reporting.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams working within DevSecOps frameworks.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and outcomes.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies and change controls.
• Track and report on project performance, ensuring delivery stays on time and within budget.
• Manage third‑party suppliers and ensure seamless integration with internal delivery teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery standards and frameworks.
• Support and mentor other Project Managers, including line‑management responsibilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large‑scale or enterprise‑wide projects in financial services, ideally within life insurance.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement at executive level.
• Comfort operating at pace, navigating ambiguity and influencing senior leaders.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile and MSP.
• Experience working with third‑party vendors and outsourced delivery partners.
• Strong commercial acumen, including budget management and benefits realisation.
